ASHOK MOTIANI

CHAIRMAN & MANAGING DIRECTOR

Mr. Ashok Motiani is the Founder & Managing Director of Freshtrop Fruits. Established in 1992, Freshtrop was one of the first private sector companies to foray into the business of exports of fresh produce. Today it is one of the largest Indian exporter of Table Grapes to the EU with Post-Harvest Management facilities in Nasik and Sangli. Under the leadership of Mr. Motiani, Freshtrop has established a well reputed client base spread across Europe. Mr. Motiani initiated a systematic implementation of Information Technology across the operations of the company, making Freshtrop one of the few in the world to have a highly evolved Internet enabled Supply Chain Management and ERP system.

NANITA MOTIANI

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Ms. Nanita Motiani joined the Board of Directors in January 1997. After completing her Masters from Lady Irvin College, Delhi University, she worked with the Planning Commission on projects in rural areas in the state of Rajasthan. She manages the Packing Facilities of the Company in Sangli and looks after the CSR and HR activities of the Company.

MAYANK TANDON

SR. VP FRESH PRODUCE

A Computer Engineer by qualification, Mayank has been working with Freshtrop since 2002, prior to which he had founded a company for Web-Enabled Software Application Development. His association with Freshtrop involves assisting farmers in establishing Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) in their farms and was responsible for getting Global GAP and BRC (Food Safety) Accreditation for the first time in India in 2003. He has been actively involved in APEDA’s consultation process for establishing RMP (Residue Monitoring Plan) for Grapes and Pomegranates for exports from India to EU since its inception. He was instrumental in setting up an internet based 100% traceability system in 2003, making Freshtrop one of the few in the world at the time to have a way of pro-actively delivering food safety information to customers across the world in a seamless manner. He also manages customer relations with leading supermarkets across Europe and East Asia and has recently established the Fresh-Cut fruit segment in the Company.

PRIYANKA TANDON

VP COMMERCIAL

Priyanka has been associated with the Company for over 17 years. She manages the Post- Harvest Management unit in Nasik, which constitutes over 60% of our grape export business. She maintains the grower relations in this region and monitors their developmental activity all through the year. She manages the procurement of all fruit for the processing business segment and has an in-depth understanding and experience of the various methods of sourcing of fruits and vegetables for fresh as well as processing segments. Priyanka also heads employee relations with over 1000 workers involved in the Nasik units during the various fruit seasons.

DIPTI MOTIANI

VP PROCESSED FOODS

Dipti completed Masters in Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, USA in 2005. Subsequently she co-founded a startup in the Electronic Design Automation industry. The startup was acquired by PDF Solutions, Inc. in 2007. She returned to India in 2009 and joined Freshtrop, when the Company had diversified into the fruit processing segment. She has built this segment from the ground up to a profitable business and has established supplies to large corporates in India as well as abroad. In the Fresh segment, Dipti manages operations of Post-Harvest Management of grapes at the Company’s Sangli unit. She manages grower relations in that area and has contributed in building food safety and pesticide Residue Monitoring Systems to ensure compliance of the produce to EU norms.
